I will be performing Pa-Hay-Okee for the Napoleon Electronic Music Festival! This piece for this festival was accepted again after being one of the cancelled entries for the 2021 edition (thanks to COVID…). Looking forward to finally getting to gather for this!
Lo! will be performed by Dr. Louie Eckhardt as the closer to Friday’s performance at the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s New Music Festival.

My piece Improvisations VI: Just, Plane, Natural will be performed by flutist Gabbi Roderer, being the Kansas City premiere of the piece (and of my music in general)! As it is an improvisation, every iteration of the piece is different, so be prepared for anything awesome.
My work Improvisations VI: Just Plane and Natural will be premiered by Leslie Miller on clarinet. The piece incorporates planing, natural overtone series, and consequently just intonation by manipulating the sound of the instrument through electronics.
This concert features composers at the University of Miami. My work [Breathe if needed] is performed by Diego Matallana (bass), Guillermo Ospina (percussion), and me (clarinet).

Brian McKee will perform my work Improvisations IV: An Appeal to the [SOUND] Masses on bassoon. Being a work that leaves a lot of decisions to the performer, it should be a very different piece from its premiere in a compelling way.
